裡面有一個readme.txt

try it!

Hi,

Boot disk???

thx

Hi,

I have tried
I used the command

F:> fdimage kern.flp a:
then it prompted:

I also tried another one.

F:>floppied>fdimage kern.flp a:
but the same

thx

About make a floppy boot disk
Hi, all,

As i try to make a floppy boot disk on windows NT, i download the two file kern.flp & mfsroot.flp from

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/r...LEASE/floppies/

But when i try to copy them to two floppy disk separately, it always prompt me there is not enough space.

Any comment?????

thx

You need to download fdimage.exe or rawrite.exe (there's separate versions for 9x and NT).

kern.flp and mfsroot.flp are floppy images. They work like .iso images for CDs.

Read the README in the floppies directory and the tools directory of the FTP site.

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/r...ols/fdimage.exe

there ya go - the usage is C:\fdimage c:\boot.flp a:

/edit hehe, they should have a sign while copying......"Now leaving DOS"

Just like phoenix said, read the readme.txt at ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/r...pies/README.TXT ..

There's a win32 version here:

http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/rawwrite.htm

Sometimes my version gives a 'device not ready' when you change disks, but is fine on the second attempt.
