How to start up a service automatically ?

There is a program to be compiled by c compile on Redhat 9.0.
And place in /bin/hkbn.o.
It can be run by  command "/bin/hkbn.o".
How to start up this service automatically ?

you can insert /bin/hkbn.o to  /etc/rc.d/rc.local
